Born in Wolverhampton in 1970, Dave is Britain’s leading Phil Collins Tribute vocalist and has been reproducing the sound, mannerisms and humour of the Genesis front man for over 12 years.

In 1997, Dave joined the successful and well-respected UK Genesis tribute band called Invisible Touch. He performed in concerts across the UK, headlining the 2001 ‘Genesis Weekend’ event in Crewe and fronting the final hours of a record breaking Drumathon. Having played to audiences (once including an impressed former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett) for over five years, Invisible Touch played their final concert in April 2002, appropriately enough at Chiddingfold Working Men’s Club – the scene of Genesis’ own pre-tour rehearsals.

In September 1998, Dave was involved in a special one-off show as the vocalist in Strictly Banks – a unique tribute to the solo music of Genesis keyboardist, Tony Banks. The concert was recorded for a live album and remains the only time a dedicated live performance of Tony Banks’ solo music has ever been undertaken. Dave spent time with Tony Banks in preparation for the show and participated in the mixing of the live CD at The Farm with Genesis producer Nick Davis.

With the Invisible Touch project coming to an end, Dave, along with other dedicated and talented musicians, formed the Phil Collins tribute, No Jacket Required in the autumn of 2002.

In the summer of 2005, the Luxembourg Big Band, Opus 78, approached Dave to front their forthcoming show One More Night. Rehearsals began swiftly and the show was given the support of Phil Collins himself, who met with Dave in November, offering advice and support in the preparation stages. The sell-out Opus 78 show was performed in Luxembourg in December 2005 and was recorded for two national television transmissions later that year. The show received such acclaim that it was repeated to over 4,000 people in an outdoor show the following June to mark the Luxembourg National Holiday and a live DVD of the show was released. Dave returned for a third Opus show in June 2008 and such was the reaction to his performances that there are plans for more shows in the future.

From his vocal style to his mannerisms, Dave's performances capture the powerful and emotional qualities of Phil Collins, while his on-stage presence and energy has reminded audiences everywhere of the ‘Golden Years’ of the multi-award winning singer and songwriter. Drawing wonderful reviews and positive comparisons with the Man Himself wherever he plays, Dave is firmly established as a performer with an international reputation for ‘being’ Phil Collins.
